Im wanting to get my fullsize BD. I understand the diff between tradtional and stock floor, but im wanting to know what would be more practical or better? How much head room am i gonna loose doing traditional? If i was to do a stock floor would it be best to buy a pre fabbed frame? Whats a time frame on doing it? If anyone can give me some help id appreciate it.

ok man, on a traditional you will lose about 2.5" of head room and you can do a traditional in about a weekend (if you know what your doing). with building a frame you wont lose any head room but your truck will be down for about a month or so. what size wheels are you running?are you wanting to go to rocker, door. or a little in to the rocker, all this is factors in what all you will have to do pm me and i can help you out some more. i hvae done both traditional and stock floor and i just got done doing a traditional on a fullsize and s dime, so hit me up.

im aboutt o start the same thing. i am thinking about just cutting the top of the frame off under the cab and putting some square tubing in in place of it. I got an ass load of 3x3 1/4 inch wall. I am 6'1 270 and don't want to lose much room as to why I am going this route.   I don't ave an engine or tranny for my truck yet, so my trimeframe is not a concern.

yeah its not that bad really with a traditional, i'm 6'4 310lbs and i can fit in a traditional s dime no problems. but thats a customers truck but my own i would do a stock floor and i recommend stock floor if there is not a tight time frame on getting it done, the 3x3 should work just fine and will take you a little bit in to the rocker.

and yea, trad. on a fullsize isnt really a problem. we did my brothers and is 6'2 and fit omfortably. we lowered his seats about 2 inches also,

well, I am still undecided on this. I still haven't figured out which way I wanna go. I think if I went traditional I could get it done faster, and could lower the seat the 2 inches or so to compensate, but I still haven't made up my mind.

88-98 stockfloor all the way 99-06 channel is the only way to go unless you go more than 4"

Mine is channeled and the humps are a bit bigger than I would like them to be. So go with the stock floor. You will be much happier with the result. Later, Chad
