I am going tomorrow to get an Iwata HP-C+, i was wanting to know if this gun is gonna give decent detail? I am not looking at doing detail like the CM-C+ but i want to be able to do somewhere close to it until I get better at it. I am a beginner brusher, so i am nowhere near Lost cause, but i wanna get there. Plus i am going  to start honing my talent on shirts for my little cousin, what type paints are used on shirts? Also when spraying on a vehicle is it all just flat colors? I wouldn't think flake could go through the .03 tip but like i said i have never done this so i am just beginning. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated . Thanks guys.

I think that the hp-c is a great choice for a beginner. My first one was a badger(junk) since then I upgraded to an iwata hp-b(6 years old now) and now I have the hpc(5 years old now). Yes the micron is BADDASSSS but as a beginner you wont have the skills yet to take advantage of the micron's capabilities. On the few shirts I have attempted I used ink available from Michaels arts and crafts. good luck with it and dont be afraid to try out the new waterbased acrylics from auto air and createx. took some getting used to, but I like them for metal and plastics... and the fumes arent as bad for you if you are spraying without a lot of ventilation

You'll love the HP-C. It's an all-around great airbrush, the workhorse of any shop! You'll be able to spray metallics and pearls, but no flakes. Most any kind of waterbased paint can be used for t-shirt work. Get yourself a subscirption to Airbrush Action Magazine. They got all the videos and books you'll ever need to get ya rolling. From there, it's just a matter of practice, practice, practice.

Yeah the cm-c+ was my first choice....until i priced it... I am hoping that i can up my skills greatly. So when...(if)..... i can give Brian a run for his money ill be posting pics up on here. I have been searching the Internet all day off and on watching people airbrush. My first car is gonna be my own but its gonna do small stuff cause i am not too crazy about driving something that eye catching. Thanks for the replies guys it was a lot of help.
