OK so I want to switch from my stock fuel tank to a fuel cell. I have no experiance in this area and if anyone has done this or have ideas please drop a line or two.  I want to use the factory fuel pump assembly though and I cant find any that will fit online. I have had ideas of buy an aluminum tank from summit and cutting a hole for the sending unit; just plugging the holes for the return and feed.

I own a 2005 chevy crew cab. I relocated the fuel tank to the bed because of the monster factory drive shaft I change to a 2 piece. The cross member to the drive shaft ran straight through where the gas tank was. I hate a bunch of shit in the bed and want to clean it up some.

thanks,
Brian

hey man summit makes one all you have to find is one that has a sending unit already and a lid to fill it just take the sending unit they send with the tank out and use that as a fill or refill just run you a hose for that and mount your factory sending unit and pump where the old refill was. depends on how big of a tank you get but i had to shorten mine 6 inchs then reflange the ends. Grant Kustoms makes a bad ass tank that your sending unit will work directly in it. here is the link i think all of these are made to hold a factory sending unit if you choose the option to. http://grantkustoms.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=92&osCsid=83c11dffb56d08cdb5553d548bd416ba  they are real good guys easy to work with and fast shipping. O and your shit wont get lost in shipping like other companies lol. peace Rocky
