can anyone tell me how much i can lower a 2005 silverado on 24s?

and what tires would be best to use, i just bolted up the 24s and the 295/35/24s are perfect, but i want to lower the truck for now until i bag it. im going to have to get smaller tires, probably 30 series but for now i need to get this gap taken care of.

anyone have any idea as to how low i can lower the truck?

if it was my truck i would go 3/5 on a 24 but i've seen a 4/6 on 24's with a 285/30/24 tire i think. i heard u could do a 5/7 on a 25 series tire.

wow, any pictures would be cool, I put the 24s on the truck and the gap became really obvious, i think the 3/5 will work for a daily driver till i can bag it.   i wont run a 25 series, i can see the rims getting bent to hell with those, i was thinking of running a 285/30 or 35/24 but im not sure yet.

why not keep the 35 tire and just take what gap you have away?

ill have to buy new tires right now as the old tires are to beat up around the beads to put back on the wheels, so im debating on lowering the truck 4/6 or 3/5 on a 285/30/24 or get the same size 295/35/24 tires and just lower the truck a little.

Stay with a 35 series duder. Go as low as you can on those.

yea i would stay wit the 35 series man. espicaly if you're gona drive it everyday! 30 and below are like rubber bands and u dont want that on a daily driver!

after doing some research, i cant decide which tire to go with, stay with the 295/35/24 which sits flush with the rim, or a 285/35/24 which is 10 MM thinner then the 295 tire.   then i have to figure out what drop to go with? a 4-6 or 3/5.   http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3233920   check this calculator out, it shows the difference, now i have to figure out the suspension drop. http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

so can a 295/30/24 fit on a 05 silverado with a 4/6 drop? OR do i need a 285/30/24?  a 265/35/22 measures  29.3" tall x 10.4" wide and i have seen trucks with 4/6 drops on 22s everywhere, and a 285/30/24 measures 30.8" tall x 11.2" wide. i want to stay with a 295/35/24 that measures 32.1" tall x 11.6" wide  but i don't think the tire will fit on a 4/6 drop kit.  DOES ANYONE KNOW what tire will fit with a 4/6 drop with 24s??

GOD this is insane, i cant figure out if i can lay my silverado on 24s with a 4/6 drop or if i have to use the 3/5 drop?   DOES ANYONE KNOW?
