i need to paint my rear axle on the dodge, but the sensor on top was leaking from the seal annd the cast soaked up the diff fluid.now nothing sticks to it.it stuck for only bout a week then started flaking off..and .i sanded, cleaned, cleaned and wiped, and still nothing is able to stick..anyone have any ideas as to wat i can do??

You might be able to bake the oil out of the cast material. It's porous so it absorbs a lot. I had an axle blasted and then baked in a powdercoating oven, and oil came out and it had to be reblasted after.  I would assume you can do the same thing.

yea, someone told me bout baking it out or burning it out actualy.dude suggeste to heat it with a torch, but i duno how reliable that could be.lol...as far as the baking thing,i should prob find someone thatll do it for me...good idea.thanks dude....any other ideas are welcomed..

Ya I thought about the torch. I would probably try it with propane, or an O/A on pretty low. I always just figured baking it in a big oven would be more uniform heat. I doubt you'll warp it with a torch though. Lol.

what about something that pulls oil stains from like concrete? might work too. oven sounds like a good idea. ill remember that tip for motor parts.
