so I was heading home from work the other day in my body dropped c-10, when the brake master cylinder failed and the truck ran up under the back of a camry sitting at a stoplight. it shoved that car into 2 more cars infront of it. and the worst part is I have PIP/liability covereage, so my damages aren't covered. I'll let the pics say the rest

here's what it did look like:

and what it looks like now:

so I started tearing it apart this weekend to survey the damage and decide whether t fix it or not. here's whatit looked like underneath the twisted remains of a body

out of all the damages, I'm just glad this peice somehow remained untouched. it's a billet bowtie my dad hand made for me

then my buddy contacted me about a parts truck he came across at a steal of a deal. $80 and I had the truck loaded on the trailer with title in hand. big thanks to Brian Foley for hooking me up and driving me all the way out to get it and trailering it to my house for me. I owe you B, it's friends like you that keep me in the scene

so the moral of the story is, as much as I love driving my ride everywhere, there is always the possibility of something like this happening. so dailys are the way to go. so now instead of getting my truck painted with my tax return like I had planned, I get to buy a daily, then slowly rebuild the truck as I can

tell me about it. I was looking forward to taking it to the Vero show this weekend and had a bunch of stuff I was going to do to it before the show, but this kinda puts a damper on that. I will still be at the show, riding with a friend. the current plan is to buy a daily and keep this as my toy and only take it to shows, or out on nice days. it's hard enough to build these trucks. even harder when you have to rebuild them

That sux bro, I feel your pain. Try and look on the bright side though, at least you have the skills to rebuild it yourself. You can also use it as an excuse to do some more mods too. Good luck on the rebuild man.

thanks for the support. yeah this time, it will be done when it comes back out. setting it up for 22's, cleaning up the motor and fixing some little things, finishing the bed, and putting the rest of the interior in. oh and since the front end will be different colors than the rest of the truck I might as well paint it while I'm at it

That really sucks.  Best thing to do is rebuild it better and badder than before!  Good luck.

well I just got some further depressing news. insurance company says I don't have enough coverage to cover all the damages to the other vehicles, so they are expecting me to pay the difference. yeah, like i just have 10k just laying around to give to them to pay for someone elses car, let alone my own. I can't even afford another car of my own now, and have been bumming rides to work. now they want me to pay for the other cars too? yeah, good luck with that... they advised me to hire an attorney. so this may get bad for me. I've been taking offers on the truck as it sits, because I have a feeling I'm going to need cash more than a badass truck in the near future

Dude that sucks for you and the other people! Good luck.
