Im in the process of tubbing out my firewall and cleaning up the engine bay in my dime.. I was trying to think of an inexpensive way to clean up the engine bay and was thinking line-x would be kind of cool and different.. Im mostly worried about the inside of my fenders and the firewall since i doubt i'll yank the engine when it comes time for a paint job and have the engine bay sprayed..then i was thinking por15 might be a better route...

just curious what your guys' opinion is and if anyone's done it? if so post up some pics!!!

First of all I wouldn't use line x or rhino liner that stuff is total junk and is too expensive. I would look in to speedliner thats the best product out with custom colors with no fade guarantee and is hell of a lot stronger for a better price. For pics look on my profile or at http://www.cssinnovations.com/ also we are on myspace and www.speedliner.com . Check out Lee Farmers Mazda that was on the cover of Minitruckin a couple of years back its the yellow with purple flames, or any of the dwerks guys.

I used Hippo-Liner Tintable kit . Mixed with Basecoat of exterior color , I then scuffed after dry and Basecoat/Clearcoated it . Looks great and super clean .  Bad picture doesn't show the Metalic Finish

speedliner is the best i have ever used. rhino is rubbery and linex is just crap.

The pores cause a chalkie build in no time . Which is why atleast clearing or basecoat/clearing will help close the pores in it and allows you to rinse off easily even when not cleaned same day .
