I shaved my tail lights did all the filler got it smooth primed and painted but you can see where the filler is through the paint. It is all rattle can but I thought it would still cover.

What kind of primer did you use? I wouldn't suggest using rattle can to anybody, just because you are creating more work for yourself, now when you go to paint you have to take all the rattle can off before you can paint otherwise you'll have problems.  Next time prime with a catalyzed primer, or sealer.  i like using primer for bodywork so you can block the area again with 400 then 600 then paint, if your not ready to paint just buy some black single stage and just paint that area to protect your primer and bodywork from moisture.

get your self some 2k primer. And a cheap paint gun and do it that way. the rattle can shit will not absorb as well as good stuff.   Josh

sand it down past the rattle can and use real primer.
