I have a problem I need help with. I am having a problem with my dime. Well today I was finishing getting it road ready and bolting the bed back on and making sure everything is on and tight. I have had it running several times today while I was getting the trans filled back up and just to let it idle to see if it would try and overheat and it didn't. Well about 30 minutes ago I thought I had it ready to go so I went to get in it and start it but when I went to start it the pcv valve blew off and it sounded like a firecracker when it did it to. Well I found it and checked it to see if it was shot and it wasn't froze up or anything so I put it back on and went to start it again and it didn't want to start but it did after a couple seconds of cranking but it sounds like its not running on all cylinders now and Im stumped as what to check first. I will pull the plugs tommrow to see if they are still intact and to try and see if it may have dropped a valve (god I hope not) and aside from that I don't know where to go from there. Its a 95 s10 with a midly built 4.3 vortec with oversize valves, cam, ported and polished heads, bigger injectors, and a remapped ecu. It also has a high flow fuel pump so... I am stumped because I have never worked on any of these 4.3 vortecs. It has been running good all day til now and it has been running around 60psi on the oil pressure too. anybody ever heard of the pcv popping off like that before? I really need to get it fixed as soon as I can because I am suppost to be trading it off this weekend but I can't if its not running.
