my truck got hit in a parking lot the other night while i was at a party. of course, they hit it and ran. nothing major, except a cracked taillight, but im still pissed that they were a pussy and couldnt leave a note. so i've been thinking about putting an alarm on my truck, but i have a few questions.
1. what are some good brands?
2. how difficult is the install?
3. i already have hid's and door poppers running off of a yellow top optima. will this extra electrical strain cause any problems?
4. have any of you had bad experiences with an alarm system?
any tips/suggestions are welcome.

also, will i be able to program the alarm remote and use it to pop my doors, or will i have to keep using the door popper remote? will i be able to use both brains from the poppers and the alarm, or is there anyway to wire both in using the brain for the alarm?

i see it has a lock/unlock feature. is there anyway i could program the lock button to pop my driver door, and the unlock button to pop my passenger door? any extra wiring in doing this? would i still keep both brains if i did this?
