i relocated my gas tank to my bed and the truck ran great till i ran it low on gas and now i put some in and everytime i stop at a light when i go it wants tocut out and die, after it gets rolling it runs fine tho,   I think im gonna check the fuel filter to start off with but i hear that the 88-98 have fuel pump problems        any body have any suggestions         thanks ahead of time

those pumps are notorious if you run them dry they will start to shit out on you. I just replaced my pump not to long ago and the new one flutters every now and then. They suck in general!

did u mount the tank in a different position than factory if so it might be that the fuel is sloshing away from the pump or the baffle is broken in the tank hope this helps

well i was workin under the hood and i noticed that it smelt like fuel uder there and behind the drivers headlight there was a fuel line that was leakin, I think that the previous owner bypassed something when they tubbed the fenders but i put a new hose on there but all my gas leaked out so now i got to get gas and see if that fixed the problem,      does anybody know what the fuel line used to go to before they tubbed the truck and is it ok to bypass that part?

the charcol canister should be mounted there. It catches fumes from the gas tank

is it safe to bypass that part or where do people relocate it too???
