heres the deal, i have a 96 s-10 that  the body is not in the best of shape, and i have a 86 s-10 with a badly bent frame under it. I was wondering if it be possible to put the 86 body on the 96 frame without too much modifing or if it would even be possible. Thanks for the help....

anything is possible but that sounds like a extensive expensive project.

I got a buddy that did that and to my knowledge he didn't have much of an issue at all. I'm thinking he might have had to move a body mount or two but not really sure he had to even do that.

PRetty much the biggest things to worry about are the frame horns on the front for the mounting of the bumper, and then I think the tranny xmember is a bit different.  A friend of mine had a second gen frame that he got since his 1st gen frame rotted.  I do remember those being the "biggest" issues he had to deal with.  One nice thing, is that the newer frames were boxed further back along the frame rails than the first gens, so its a stronger frame.   Not sure about the engine mounts though, my buddy dropped in a 350.   LAterz

they are shortbeds, as far as motor and tranny im leaving all that from the 96 on the frame,
