I can't get the damn thing smog'd here in Cali because of the SES light.  The code I'm getting is P0113, IAT sensor.  Now the intake manifold is shortened (in order to keep the stock hood).  So I don't know if that's what's causing the error or not.  If anyone's got some insight on this, I would appreciate it.  It's coming down to the wire.

Is that sensor still in the manifold?  Have you replaced it yet?  If you've got a chilton's manual for that model you might be able to figure out the signal voltage that is suppose to be carried to the ecm during normal operation and then use the proper resistor to get it to turn off.

Could you just pull the bulb for the light or do they hook up a code reader?

Do you have the 4.3L?  I had to shorten mine also and it threw the same code.  But in TX I guess they didn't care.

do you have a pic of your intake if so post it, it may not see the air temp it need and is setting it try placing a long rubber hose on the intake and moving the sensor away from the intake a few inches.

Thanks for all the help, guys.  You've given me some good ideas. I've had one hell of a busy week but I'm getting in the garage again tonight and hopefully make some head way.   Oh I wish I was in TX, or at least registering my vehicles there.  And you can't take the bulb out because they check for the lamp to light when you turn the key on. (Already thought of that one).  See you at TEX MEX!!!! -Stew-
