We are going to relocate the Gas tank into the back of the bed on my friends B2200 later tonight. He wants to put all of it under the bed floor but I say cut some of it out and raise it up to get better clearance from the ground. We are going to get 1" square tubing and build a cage around it and plate the front and bottom to protect from sparkage... Can you guys that have done this give some pointers? To cut bed floor or not? Pics? Anything would be much appreciated. Thanks
I'm is the process of doing this to. I don't see how there would be enough room to safely put the gas tank under the bed floor in the back. I'm cutting some of the bed out to raise mine up like you suggested.
Check out my 88 B2200 in my profile. There are some good pics of the cage I built and the gas tank. If he doesn't cut the bed and raise it up some it will hit the ground.
