D21?

How do you know if a hardbody has a d21 engine.  i know some of the older models have a z24 8 spark plug engine.  but what is a d21.  i am looking for some engine parts for me 94 and a lot of the parts cut off at 93 and say d21?  

d21 is the body code for hardbodys  all hardbodys are d21 s   motor options are z24   ka24  and  vq30

was the ka24de ever available in the D21?

^^^yes it was like 1995-1997 when ever they switched to the new dash they stopped making the z-24 if i remember correctly

Z24 was early, then it was replaced by the KA24E, I just don't know if the KA-24DE was ever in a hardbody.

94 was the was the first year of the new interio. and the change to the ka24 was in 1990, also the d21 carried a vg30de as the v6 not a vq30, also in 88-89 nissan used the pathfinder headlights in the trucks. in 1990, they changed there wireing harness in the cab and changed the gauge cluster type. in early automatic hardbodys, the shifter was on the colum, i think 86.5 and 87.

the ka24de was never in the hardbodies, they were all single cam either z24 or ka24e, the ka24de didnt get put into the truck until 98 when the frontier came out...so if u have a 94 chances are its a ka24e and not a z24...
