wheel offset for 93 toyota?

I have a 93 toyota and i am going to get new rims but the ones i want only come in 17x9...my truck is stock height but will be bagged soon...what offset will i need to tuck or will they not work at all

well i have have 20x 8.5 with +35 offset.  ive heard of guys running 40 to 42 but on a 9 inch wheel i think it would be very sketchy... but im sure someone has a little more knowledge than i do....  btw mine is a 4runner that im doing as i wright this so it has 4wd sheetmetal... i think that would be a must.....

I have 17x8 front and rear with a 4.5" backspace  front fit fine  had to narrow the rear end to fit rears  they would rub box sides
