So what exactly do I have to do to covert the toyota rearend to run on my mazda? Change the yoke? lenghten? shorten? what? I just got a set of hubs from Laynrockers and I'm going to get a rearend, just wanted to know what all I have to plan for to make it work.

you don't do anything. You take both drive shafts to the drive shaft shop and tell them what you need.

both of my mazda drive shafts or do I need a toyota drive shaft too?

Is it an extended cab? I can't remember if the standard cabs had a carrier bearing or not. Regardless, you need to essentially have the front of the mazda shaft mated with the end of the toyota shaft, and it be the correct length.

It should be very easy for any driveline shop to do. The place I took it to told me to make a template of the toyota flange bolt pattern. I took that, along with the stock mazda shaft to them. I had to shorten my Mazda shaft 1" on my extended cab. All in all, with a new toyota end on the shortened and rebalanced mazda shaft, I was out of there for less than $200.

I need to shorten mine about the same for my std cab,  1-1.125".And yea Nathan the std cabs also have a carrier bearing, at least mine does.
