i have the all-mighty 2.2 for my beast and the local parts places are wacked out of their skulls. they want $120 per piston.i have 3 of the 4 pistons in "working" condition, need one (unless the price is right). who can tell me where the best place to get a piston ring set and a piston set as well. im rebuilding the whole motor so i will need any info i can get from you guys, (i.e.) gasket sets, inner parts, etc........... H.E.L.P.

alright motor gurus, i bought a motor and the guy said, " Low end will probably need bearings, I know the upper is good, Runs, but oil pressure drops as it warms up". anyone have info as to possibilities of this occurance/and/or where they would start diagnosing it?

sry to hear about your misfortune.  As for parts do you have a napa auto parts in your area, they have usually everything and get it if they dont.  I know cause i used to work for them back in the day.   They are also online.  As for your oil pressure dropping you might want to check the oil pressure swhich that control the guage presure.  That may be going bad.  Sry I dont know where it is located on the motor, mayb someone can chime in and hlp on the location.  hey I just got online and checked napa and a piston is $35 and it gives the description of what the dimensions and bore and everything.  So my guess is that place you went to quoted you for the entire set.  hope that helps

You say that it has a knock in the lower end could be a rod, bearings and or seals.  could a combo of any of those things.  did u check out the rear main seal. Sry I wish i could help more but im not a mechanic and i only know a few things and nothing about tear down.
