Ok so I have decided to build my own headers for my project. It will have a 4.3 v6 from a 93 FS...problem is I cant find headers for it under like $350 lol. I'm thinkin of using 3/8" plate for the flanges that bolt to the block,will I have any problems with exhaust heat and this thickness? I already have the plate so I figured I would give it a try,next I'm gonna order the "build your own" header kit from jegs. So my main question is...can anyone cut out the ports and drill for the bolt holes if I make a template,for a reasonable price? I know there are a few people on here with plasma tables or waterjets so I figured I would ask here first.
