I usually use 60 dergee angles when I do a subframe. You can pick up a simple drafting triangle at any office supply store that has this angle in it. Having this will make it easy to draw the subframe out 1:1 before you get to the cutting steel stage. For a backhalf blueprint you can use a piece of 1/4 inch masonite, its cheap and sturdy and is available at most any lumberyard. Drawing it out 1:1 will help you avoid any issues that may arise during the construction process and give you a reference drawing for the cut sizes of your material, deff worth the couple of extra minutes it takes.
