I bought mine used from a guy who was using it on a home built gas powered compressor so I'm unsure of its origins. He had already modded it inside for oiling when I got it, I think someone has posted instructions on how to do the oiling mod before on here somewhere though. I know mine was the kind thet had 2 1/4 NPT ports on the top of the head, not the kind that uses the bolt on flanges. I had to use a 1/4 NPT street elbow to get it to fit under the distributor and I didn't have power steering on my truck. I also had to get a bottoming tap and clean out the threads on the side of my block because they were pretty rusty from being unused for ten years in a northern climate. The holes are the same thread as the motor mount holes, I believe I used engine mount bolts from a junk truck to bolt my home made bracketry on. I used one of the empty V belt grooves on the balancer to drive the pump and got a belt from the parts store. I assembled the whole thing and measured for a belt last,as long as you have a measurement and belt width info any good parts house or belt supplier will be able to handle this task for you. You will need a check valve after the compressor or it will bleed your tank pressure back out through the compressor, I used an SMC check valve on mine. I also used some hyrdaulic line for my leader hase as the compressor gets warm while its pumping and I was worried it would melt a plastic line. I had a simple pressure switch at the tank to turn the compressor on with a bypass switch on the dash so I could bump my PSI up a bit to do some hopping once in a while. I also had a light wired in so I could see if the compressor was running .The wiring is really easy to do, I have a novice set of eletrical skills and I managed it okay. In closing I can say that I liked the EDC I had and would run one again for sure, it pumped like a mofo and didn't drain my battery. I would suggest a small eletric as a backup though, just in case you ever had an issue, sort of a spare tire for your air system if you will. Hope this helps you out some, hit me up if you have any more questions and I'll ttry and help.
