how do I attach the hoist to a dodge 360 engine and tranny

I am looking for info on how to pull a 360 out of a wrecked dakota....where do i attach the chain on a 318 engine and a 360? it tells me not to use the intake? anybody on here done it? Help i wanna drive my ram...and am tired of seeing it just laying down.....

The engine should be the same because I have one of each, it should all just be enternal for the engine specs. I wasn't sure how to remove them either so I had a few friends help me pull my 3.18 for me. Looks like it is just the front by the heads and in the back. Wow that was back in 2005 and it's still on the engine stand today!!! But it's been grinded smooth and cleaned up a lot since then! BTW if you still have that clock spring I need it!

if its carbed you can remove the carb and use a lift plate. head bolts. intake bolts i used no problem. just make sure the bolts are in a decent lenth.

Not familiar with the engine, my guess is pull a engine / bell housing bolt and find a sturdy bolt at front of engine to pull and put a chain thru. Good luck.

hey jance if ya can give me a good description of exactly which holes and bolts to use i will throw in a few cruise control buttons and a clock spring!!!!! i am paranoid this thing will fall once i have it lifted slightly.....i like to worry a lot since this is the biggest thing i have ever done by myself....thanks!!!!!!
