Tacoma headliner swap?

Does any know if a solid (one piece) headliner out of a 98' and up tacoma will directly fit in my 96'  My truck still has the old school drop down liner with  rods stiched to it every six inches  any help would be appreciated!thanks guys

wow they still used those? i hate those. my guess is they should since the cabs are the same.

Recently pulled mine out of my 89 to paint inside cab and redo interior. Mine had the old school headliner and rope-in gasket windshield when I pulled it all out it did have all the holes and stuff for the better trim package. I assume yours would be the same deal, they arent gonna change the whole cab to add a different headliner I wouldnt think. Im surprised they even used that style headliner in a taco.  Anyone know If they make a rigid headliner for the 89-95?

If so...I might go that route.--------------------------------------------- ^^^Yeah the 98 and up Tacoma's come with a ridged "solid one piece headliner"........... but had heard about a dude with an extra cab that tried to swap headliners and he said it didn't quite fit right, but he cant really remember for sure (he said the interior plastics may be a little different or somthing I already found a headliner, I'm just afraid to have it shiped all the way out to me and it not fit right?

I have a 95 taco i put one in and it fit fine pluss just a fyi the door panales from a 2005 will fit the 95 just fine they snapp in perfict

I have an 89 pickup can i change that stupid headliner for a newer one piece one?

i have a 95 ext cab, and put a newer rigid headliner in.. you have to swap out/ massage some of the plastic trim pieces. Its kind of a bitch.
