taco dash in a pre-taco

anybody done this? I am going to have to put a new dash in my 89 because I neglected to cover it up or crack the windows while I had it stored and I went out to check on it the other day and my dash now has a big crack right in the middle of the dash that runs all the way to the windshield. DAMNIT and that dash looked brand new before I stored it. guess its time to upgrade and start on my interior even though it used to look like new inside. well if anybody has some pics or info on the swap let me know.

just put one in my yota last week a little cutting and beating with the hammer got  it to fit flush with fire wall, still got a lot off little shit to finish i'm trying to used my sr5 guages  I took some pics trying to get em on

i have this doen and i used the stock gauges

stock from the taco or the pretaco? what about your heater controls and stuff, was it a pain?

i used my gauges from my 93 and i didnt use heat controls cause i dont have any just shaved the pot they went...later gonna shave the vents..and also the keys hole are off so you will have to do som glass work

im making a plate for the ac controls, I have been fighting with the gauges I have taco guage cluster but have to wire it looks like pain in the ass. What did you do to make the gauges work?

he is using the pre taco gauges if I am reading this right. I like the look of the taco dash but I may just go the restore to original interior with a few changes in fabric and a few slight mods so it will look stock at first glance but not be anything like it in reality. still in the air here though. just got a bit distracted by my new ride. a 1968 mercedes 280s. oh yea, old skool.
