tryed true fire today

screwed around on something black i found, it looked ok at best, so i deceided to spraybomb a panel black and actually try.  I just spray bombed clear cause i didnt fell like cleaning guns or using good clear tho (plus i'm broke and skimping) lol.

Looking good especially for a first try. I second the recommendation to look at some reference pics while you're working. The thing you want to avoid is looking too contrived. Real fire is much more random and organic. I'd also back off the use of the shields as you get to your "tighter" licks––every edge of the flame should not have such a hard edge. And get the flames brighter or hotter with more yellow closer to the source of heat which would be at the bottom in your pic. I'm still trying to get happy with my real fire 'cause I always think I can get it better looking. It really takes some practice but it's about one of the most requested effects I get. Keep it up.
