i got a 99' escalade and i hate all the wiring. I wanna convert it from the fuel injection over to a carb type motor. I have heard of this being done. The motor only has 30k on it. So i dont wanna swap it for an older motor. so whats involved in this transformation. Do i have to change the tranny, and what parts do i have to change out. I just want it to look good and run out smooth with out all the wiring and computers and what not. if you can hwlp, let me know, pics would be great too. thanks all.

Edlebrock makes a carb intake manifold for that engine and your also going to have to run a diffrent distributor. As far as the trans I know they make a stand alone wirring harness for it

i found an intake but i need some info on the distributor. will a stock 350 dist. work?? And im gonna try to find someone with a normal old skool 700r4 that needs an electronic thzt might wanna swap you know? But if anyone could help out with the distributor info that would help a lot.

Dist will have to be changed to a vaccum adavance style to control timing to match the fuel curve. The stock Dist timing is controlled by the ecm.
