Yep.  Mine wants me to build her a mini.  I told her "me first"

Pretty much just got lucky I guess. I had my Ranger already when we met and she knew from day 1 that this was what I did. She has a damn nice truck herself now.

i meet mine 4 years ago when i was building my c-10 and we split for 3 years and now back together for good, she wants me to lay out her g6 for her but she wants to pay on it for alittle while before i can cut into it

it's tough. for some reason women get pissed when you spend more on your truck than you do on them. luckily i have one that has basically given up on trying to change me, she knows my truck isn't going anywhere and has basically just learned to except it

Just find a woman that you are into, show her some magazines, bring her in on the lifestyle and some of the lingo so she knows whats what. (Bodydrops, etc) If she can live with it then cool. Its not like you are going to be into everything she is into, like shopping (sometimes we men go along and tolerate shopping). Soooo, just find a woman willing to accept what you are into....My wife loves driving around in my bagged trucks, doesnt nessacerally mean that she is into the lifestyle, but can handle it at times....

my first date was in my bagged 81 mazda with a cut up firewall and no heat and one 4inch speaker, so put a blanket on her legs and went to a movie and told her, cars are my life if you dont like it then sorry im not for you, just found you gotta be honest and it takes time, i met a fair bit of women that hate my truck or past projects so you move on. my girlfriend hated and i mean HATED my bagged caprice but she rode in it cause it was something i truly enjoyed so just look for that

I would say until you find a woman that accepts your passions a relationship isn’t in the cards. Keep in mind she doesn’t have to do the mini truckin thing with you to accept what you do. I have seen guys loose some otherwise good women by being too hardcore 24/7 and also insisting that the significant other participate with you in your hobby. Being open and honest enough with yourself to accept that not everyone thinks what we do is as cool as we do is key, IMO. It’s a good idea to be flexible, if she’s got stuff she likes to go do, go with her if you can, it goes a long way, trust me. Don’t be selfish with your time. Every weekend of the year can’t be about the mini or going to shows. I give up tons of opportune time that could be spent in the garage in order to do other things with my wife.

To give you an example, my wife won’t ever be seen riding in my mini, she has told me this much. I'm cool with that as long as I don’t have to take any flak about wanting to participate in my hobby. I have been married 11 years successfully this far and had a mini in my life well before she was around.

Long story short, be cool about your hobby and be flexible with your time. That helps a lot.....but it won’t help with some women, just keep that in mind.

My girls not really into the scene at all...she don't really like going to show but will go to show support. Not into the whole draggin and drunkness of the whole deal...however at Turkey Drag last year when we almost got pulled over...(Thanks again dumb ass ranger for trying to run)...she said she hadn't had that much fun in a while. But she understands the whole concept of the scene...and she respects it. She never complains about my truck...how much time or money it takes up. But she does share some animosity towards my shop because it takes up alot more time and money than my truck does. Just find you a good chick who cares about you enough to care about your hobbies and the things you are pationate about. My girl didn't really understand it until I stayed up for like a week strait trying to get my truck to a show...then she realized how important it was to me. Now she helps me work on it alot....ussually when it gets washed/cleaned...she's the one doing it. Thanks babe....LOL

My wifes not into it at all.But she does put some input into it.Like I havent had a bd truck for awhile and she tells me the next one I build I need to body drop it.But she will tell me right away if she thinks an idea is stupid. The only thing she really hates is when I get home from work I go right to the guarge and work on my truck and dont spend any time with her.But shes use to it now after 7 years she expects it.But sometimes she will come and help.
