"Lost Cause"- Back from Cali, and back to work!

Well its been a little over a month and a half since I've been home and what a hectic six weeks its been trying to get caught up! (Thanks Mike )
 

After rolling around in so many body dropped daily drivers in Cali, I first thing I did when I got home was cut the shit out of the Taco!

 
Half way through the body drop I got a call from a very good friend of mine,.....He needed me to "Take Over" a project that was being worked on in his shop by another painter (with very little, to no progress being made)
He asked if I could pick up the project and get it knocked out a.s.a.p.

As you can see the previouse painter had a horrible lifting problem, paint chips and paint splatters all over this bike.....

The funny part is that the customer wasn't really concered with all that as much as he Hated the skull on the gas tank
 

First things first,.....I sanded all that nasty shit out lol 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Next I threw it in primer,.......then I  blocked this bitch out 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Next I layed down a heavy metallic silver base coat and taped off the tribal design.......

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
And then I threw down a few coats if the kustom Red kandy I had left over from the mustang

After the Red Kandy I did the fade to black.......

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

The customer had requested me to airbrush a little bit of real fire comming out of the gas lid............

I always start fire off with white, then kandy it the colors I want
