I've got a severely body dropped 1985 Chevy Crew cab short box with 22's and 1/2" rockers. I was just wondering how much PSI guys need to lift the front end high enough to turn wheels. I've done the standard beg between frame and lower ca's with contitech bags. By the looks of it I'll need like 130 PSI to get high enough, but this seems like a lot. I had a 720 before this one and didn't need nearly this much, which I understand because this truck is alot heavier, but if it's too high, should I be moving my bags closer to the pivot point on the lower ca's?

The closer you are to the pivot point the more PSI you will need. You will only need to move it in closer to the pivot point if you can't get it to clear the wheels.

Have you tried to put a  schrader valve in the bag and just lift the truck...You should be able to tell how much PSI is needed then. BTW. Good lookin truck!  My old Hardbody that was BD on a 3/8 rocker on 18's in the front, It took almost 110psi in the front to clear them.

My bodydropped 1500 takes about 120 to lift the front.

Thanks guys, I've got my shop compressor set to 115 psi and I thought I was off my rocker when it wasn't enough to lift it. I'll jack 'er up to 150 psi and see how high I can get it. Thanks for the props on my truck!

Big block or Small block? What kinda bag do you have in it?

WHen I was bagged I couldn't do shit unless there was atleast 175 in the tank....took 150 to untuck the tires. Ride height was 120. I have re-8's in the front now so 120 untucks them and ride height is 80. Big trucks need big air....Id go atleast 200 psi and 10 gallons on anything bigger than a single cab fullsize. 8 gallons on 200 is ok for a single cab.

I've got contitech 2600's in the front which I was told they are rated @ 250 max psi and (2) 9 gallon tanks which I'm planning on running (2) York compressors on my small block. I've been a minitrucker since 1989, but this is my first full size, so I'm still learning things.
