I have almost finished my swap from a hydrolocked 318 in my ram to a newer 360 out of a dakota (still stock dodge engine and tranny)....I have gotten almost everything back in or swapped over EXCEPT:

the only thing holding me back is the two lines that run from the transmission  to the front of the truck in the core support(looks like tranny coolant lines)  ...two problems....1.   can i replace the original hard lines with rubber lines of some sort? i was thinking like fuel line...about the same size...or open to suggestions2. there is a top and bottom connection in the front and a top and bottom connection on tranny and i can't remember which one is which...

thanks in advance

go get 3/8 metal fuel line and make the lines with rubber end's at the raditoryou can put the factory ends on the line at the trans. if you run rubber all the way they will rub and leakif you have a tubing bender they are real easy, we do it all the time at work. the top and bottom will not matter it will push fluid eather way but remember heat risesso i would run the line out to the top that way the heat will be less at the return line. just my 2 cent, if i was building it

if rubbing wasn't going to be an issue....i would b ok?  the tranny fluid would not get too hot for the rubber? just curious cause i think the rubber line would be way cheaper than the fuel line...does the tranny line have a lot or pressure on it? thanks

Get a remote tranny cooler from Summit and mount it under the cab or bed.  They have fans and would save you grief and work.  That is what I am using myself.Good luck.

It needs to go into the cooler via the lower fitting, and run out the upper . If not, you can get foaming from it spashing in the cooler, causing more issues. Make sure you get the proper type of rubber hose for tranny lines, if not the tranny fluid will cause the rubber to swell and everntlly deteriorate.

what are the fitings on the lines smaller or bigger you could always get a reducers or some coupling to make it work..when i got a dif radi for my ford it came with some coupling to fit the stock lines
