Can you drill and ream the upper point of the spindle, then sleeve and use a grade 8 bolt through the uniball?  Not sure how well that would work with the style clamp the spindle has for the uppers.  I'm sure you could make it work though.  That's what I did on my toyota spindles

I dont know how well that would work because u cant get to the bottom of the bolt through the spindle. Are you talking about inserting a threaded seleve?

Sorry, it's been a while since I've seen a ranger spindle, (best thing to ever happen, lol) I wouldn't use a threaded sleeve.  Could you possibly grind away a small portion of the spindle and put a nut on the bottom?   Or could you possibly use a 4x4 spindle depending on how it is setup

thanks for the input. i will get it in my hands, post somepictures and go from there. itll probably be sunday. what is a good price on a bagged ranger, its a 03, 35,000 miles 4 cyl 5 speed. single cab short bed. electric windows and doors. has a couple dents that need fixed. the notch looks a little "hacked" its notplated and its just a half circle cut out of the frame. the bags look a tad dry rotted. since its on a car lot im just going to throw in it doesnt have inner fenders. and they told me they cant get it registered in texas becuse it didnt pass inspection. i live in new mexico. they want 7995.00  but im thinking of offering 6500 bux. should i shoot for less? thanks againjosh
