slow but they last FOREVER. I have personnaly seen several with over 500k on them and they are going strong. as long as you keep an eye on the timing chain and the head gasket seems to want to go around 350k but thats an easy fix. I have had my 89 for 5 years and all I have done is change the timing chain and alternator three times and starter quite a few times but the alternator is my fault and the starter is an autozone special with a lifetime replacement so its all good. IF the timing chain breaks the engine might as well be junk, I neglected to change my chain late last year and it broke on me and that was the end of that engine but I am putting in another one and putting a dual row timing chain (good upgrade) and lc engineering pro efi head on it so I can get closer to the elusive 130hp mark.
