Hmmm. Open up a hobart, it bassicly is a miller with a hobart shell on it, the parts are all made by miller.....  Hell, my mig torch on my Hobart 210 auctually reads Miller on it.  For usually around 500$ less than a miller, buy a hobart and dont think about it again, there great machines.    Taylor

Hobart and Miller are the same thing except the drive roller is usually plastic in the Hobart when it is metal in the Miller. Same welders, same company. Hobart is cheaper and more of a light duty/ home/ hobby welder when Miller is the Industrial version for a higher price but the guts are 90% the same. So yeah to answer your question the Hobart is a great welder! Buy one!

I've got a Hobart 210, I use the hell out of it and NEVER had a problem.  Best investment ever made.  I wouldn't spend the extra money on the miller, there are very minor differences between em.

i got the 187 220v. its a beast. i have used it almost daily for 2 years, only thing i have replaced was the trigger on the gun, which i really didnt replaced i just jerry rigger a push button mommentary switch to it haha. ive done everything from sheetmetal to 3/8" plate with it with no problems. i say buy it,you wont be dissapointed, not with a 220 atleast,i cant speak for the 110's since ive never used a 110 welder of any brand.

A friend of mine has the Hobart 140 110v and its a nice machine, but I am partial to the 220v model welders especially if you are going to do any kind of frame work. All of my welders are Lincoln, but  in my opinion you cant go wrong with a Lincoln, Miller, or Hobart.

same here, ive never owned a 110 tho,and i hate it when people use them for frame work..i dont care how good they say it penetrates lol.
