has anyone done this before

i have a 95 4wd 2 door tahoe.  has anyone ever taken the 4 wd stuff out and bagged one and made it 2wd.  i'm not using the same transmission or rearend.  what do yall think?

Im pretty sure the frames up front are quite different from 2wd to 4wd. you'd still have some lengthy frame mods to do before going on to suspension mods

it can be done but going to be alot of work. be better to find a 2wd frame or have a new one built and made right.

all the mounting points for the control arms are completely different.  It would be a lot easier to re clip it or do a full frame.

thanks for all the info but i'm probably going to frame the whole thing.  i came up with the frame design a lil bit ago.  i don't know how to post pics so i can't post a pic of it.
