Is there anyone that can make me some tubular control arms for a LUV? Is there a better option for the lowers or is getting new uppers my only option? Thanks

I don't know what the problems are to start with. I'm not much help with vehicle specific questions. Sorry... What is the problem?

No problems, I would just want something that looks better than the stock uppers. I would also like to have something that will accept toyota ball joints (I am swapping in Toyota spindles and the Toyota units are easier to find) . I can get the Toyota ball joints in the lower arms so that is not a big deal i was just wondering if there was a better option than stock. My main concern is the uppers.

Any decent fab shop should be able to build you some custom uppers... shoot, I could build you some uppers. I would be more concerned about the spindle geometry, do you know if they are the same?

I've messed with LUV suspension a little bit. The ball joint pivots are similar, but not the same, and the tie rod is pretty far off.

I know of a guy that used a Toyota spindle on his LUV and said he had no issues. He used stock arms with the LUV upper ball joint (had to ream out top of spindle) and a Toyota lower ball joint.

I've heard "it works great" too many times from people that don't know any different. If the geometry doesn't match, you will have problems, if you choose to accept that or not is up to you.

He has a couple thousand miles on it at the moment. There are guys out there doing S10 Spindles on their LUVs as well but it involves more work and money (and the guy making the kits is slow)

Swapping in an entire toyota front clip may be an option to consider. At least that way the suspension and steering geometry will be correct you just need to align the rails.

oldschoolminis, what year luv you have? I never heard about  s10 spindles on a luv, I agree w/Joel and if you don't want to use stock arms off a luv a yota front clip would be best. I used my stock arms up front and didn't bother tryin to find another spindle cuz I wanted to keep the stock 6 lug. How far is Definance from Youngstown?
