So I just got done painting the yota about 2 days ago and I went out there earlier and was just going around rubbing the body to see how it feel and its got kind of a rough texture to it, but it's not extremely rough so I don't know if you can call it trash. So I just want to know is there a compound you can buy at a paint shop to buff it out or any way to get the roughness without actually sanding it.

i wish there was a magic compound that would take out orange peel without wetsanding, would make a painter's life a hella lot easier. Best bet is try starting with 1500grit wetsand paper, followed by 3000, then 3m rubbing compound. Should get yo started. good luck not burning the edges.

I wet sanded the first coat with 1000 and when I got done there were spots that you could see where I sanded looks like the paint  faded or sometheing. Thats why I was hoping that I could just use some kind of rubbing compond to just get it off. Ohh yeah I forgot to mention that its just sealer not actual paint. I guess if I have to i'll go out and start sanding it down and hope that it dont fade the sealer. thanks tntyota

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by supravanyou are going to paint over the sealer aint you?---------------------------------------------I plan on keeping the sealer on it. So that when I start doing body mods I can just spray the sealer back on it and not have to worry about sanding and buying new paint all the time. Just makes more cents plus sealer is alot more cheaper than paint, but yeah I do plan on painting it just not anytime soon.

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by nigels worldSo you want to buff the sealer? ---------------------------------------------No I was wanting to get the orange peel/dry spray (not sure what to call it right now) out of the sealer and I knew that there is a rubbing compund that you can buy and was wondering if that would take out the orange peel with a buffer
