those look pretty cool.now this might sound stupid but how do you get those highway pics with out cars do you edit them out?

with the slow shutter speed, the camera doesn't pick up the vehicles. it picks up the light trails because there is a constant flow of light in the same path for long periods of time.

The shutter speed is slowed down to a relative amount of time, usually anywhere between 5-10 seconds. Essentially what happens is you take the picture, but instead of the shutter closing right away it stays open and since the objects are moving the create a path of light in that direction for that amount of time.

.......hadnt used it as much as I would have liked......I will upload some of the pics I took with the 75-300 tonight...........but I think I want a nice wide-angle lens next.........    attempt at a HDR.....its pretty crappy......and I am still learning....

If so try turning that down to the lowest setting I think is ISO 100 or so.... Other than that I like it!

i got the 18-55, 75-300, 50 f/1.8, and tokina 11-16 f/2.8. i love em all for different reasons. and the canon 430ex flash helps a lot in many cases. and my tripod is ridiculously badass! hell, the legs and head cost more than my camera body with 2 of the lenses. lol
