Only 1st gens will have manual steering, but the box locations are the same and will fit all s10 frames. I have a 2nd gen in the shop thats getting a 350 and he has a manual box in there for the same reason.

Just did a quick search, Rock auto sells them but they cost more money than a power steering box! $329 A-1 CARDONE Part # 275002  Autozone has it for $273 - Atsco / Steering Gear (Manual Steering)  Part Number:7910

Like said, 1st gen's will have them.  My grandma's '91 had manual everything, I think it was an old fleet vehicle. I'm just curious why you want to go to manual steering because of a v8 swap?

Thanks guys i appreciate the help, Im probably gonna hit up the junk yard sometime next week. I didnt wanna run power steering because I dont have a pump on the 350 I have and Im trying to figure out if A. the non-power boxes are smaller than the power ones and B. if itd be cheaper to get a pump for the 350 or a manual box. Just tryin to keep the motor simple & basic.

I drop a 305 in my s10 and took the pump off and just ran a hose to bypass the pump it was not hard to turn. going down the road no different. seating still was a little hard but not bad
