hey just thought i would hlp out a lil.  I checked summitracing.com and they have in line pumps and they are rated anywhere 22 to 120 psi.  you may want to call them just b sure on specifics. I also checks jegs but summit has more of a selection. hope this hlps.

yeah you can use the Summit ones but you may want an adjustable fuel pressure regulator as well. They work really nicely and you won't get stuck with dimension issues due to the stock fuel pump. you can run a slimmer fuel cell hidden under the bed with the same volume and run an aftermarket pump without issues.

thank you guys thats a big help, cuz it would be nice to run a slimmer fuel cell so I can hide it under the bed

I use the Walbro universal fuel pump on mine and did not have to buy anything extra, other than the hose to run to it.  I mounted mine under the truck inline with supply line to the fuel rail.  You dont need another fuel pressure regulator, since the truck already has one.  These should run somewhere between $89-120.  Summit also has there name on one, but its the same fuel pump.  These are all over ebay.   I hope this helps,   Billy

so  i'm looking at buy n this fuel pump from summit ' SUM-G3138 ' it is 85 PSI and 43 gph,so from what the guy on here was saying i wont need a PSI reg becase the nissan has on already on it   ? is this true? will this fuel pump work for me?

that fuel pump is the exact same one I have on my truck, but mine says Walbro on it instead of summit.  My truck is a 98, which is the same drivetrain as your 97.  This should work nicely.   I took my tank completely out and added a fuel cell and this pump and did not add any other Pressure regulator.  Mine has been on now for almost 2 years.     Billy
