So my car a 00 crown victoria on air ride has a problem. My PCM fuses keep blowing and once one blows my car dies. There are two fuses that blow one of them is to PCM Power Relay, PCM, DLC (OBD-II connector) the other fuse is to Anti-lock brake module, Evac and fill connector. Im not 100% on this but I think the problem is with the wiring to my pressure switch. I have a toggle switch on the dash to turn the pressure switch on and off and whith the switch on i tested my cars battery. I tested contineuity between hot and ground and found that sometimes they are shorted out when the switch is on and goes away with the switch off. The wiring to the pressure swith just goes from teh battery to the toggle switch and then fromt the toggle to the pressure switch and then the pressure switch controls a relay that operates my compressors. I thought there may be a short in the wiring (which was ran underneath the car) so i ran new wire inside the car this time and tested the battery again and didnt have a short this time however after driving the car for a while it shorted out and blew a PCM fuse. Ive tried replacing the toggle switch but that didnt help. Ive tested the pressure switch and its not shorted out internally or anything ive looked over the car for any sign of any damage to the wiring harness and couldnt find anything. Anyone ever encounter this before or have any idea WTF is going on with my car?
