i have an 87 s10 and i want to bd it but, would it be best to do a traditional bd on the cab and backhalf the bed or just sfbd it with a 3/4 frame? i was thinking of sheetmetaling the entire floor of the cab.
That depends on how much of a BD you want. if you are gonna sheet metal the entire floor anyway..........then you might as well do a 3/4 frame. There are tons of variables here. You just need to fugure out how much of a BD you want and go from there. Some things you might want to ask yourself..... How much BD do I want??Is headroom an issue??? Can i get away with just a SFBD or do I need to SFBD and traditional it????? (if you want a big BD) Can I just traditionally BD it and sheet the floors??
i was thinking of dooring it, so a sfbd and a trad. bd is what i'm going to do. i don't have a certain "deadline" really that i want to have it done by, my goal is to drive my son to school on his first day of school. He was just born on christmas eve so, i have 5 years to do it lol, i think that is a reasonable timeline lol and head room isn't an issue.
If you are gonna door it then stock floor it and then traditional it the rest of the way! That would be perfect. I would go with a 3/4 frame also.
yeah, thats what i'm going to do, it will look better, even tho people won't really see it but i will know in my mind that it is there. my rear setup is going to be crazy, cause i'm putting a fwd engine in the back of it and making it a rear engine rear wheel drive truck. will be different
