well, got my new rear end in from a 92 toyota pickup and it was super easy, even put new rear brakes on it. the shape of the third member was different then mine. it had horizontal fins on it whereas mine didnt, everything bolted up good except when i went to put the lowering blocks back in the drivers side went in good but the passenger side was about a 1/2" out  so i got a sissor jack and pushed it in forward. So no everythings together and i have a grinding noise, i jacked the axle up, put it on stands, and got underneath. Looks and sounds like when i turn the drive shaft that its grinding where it gos into the trans, this is not good =) saw a few little metal flakes which is horrible. anyone run into this? I was thinking about moving the axle back the half inch on both sides and see what happens, i know the other option is getting the driveshaft shortened. let me know if anyones ran into this, i could use some help.

had something similar like this happen to a friend, then his driveshaft impaled his transmission and cost him a small fortune.  thanks for any help.
