Anyone work for or with a magazine? How did you land the job? I figured posting this in the photo section would be the best place. Just for added pleasure one from Scrapin'

nice shots     best thing to do for freelance is to check the mastheads (the page that lists the staff info and contact) of any mags you'd like to submit work to and email or write to the editor... some might list phone numbers, but editors are in and out often so its hard to get them on the phone trust me    good work, keep it up!

Emailing the Editor is usually the best place to start.

I started out shooting for gauge magazine then a couple of print magazines saw my work and asked me to do a couple of things for them and the rest is history.     Your best bet is to shoot weddings if you are wanting to get payed.   Its slow all around, and it sucks to be a car shooter right now because everyone with a camera is gunning for what few jobs are out there and willing to do it almost for free.      Other than that make a nice pretty portfolio of all your work and start bugging editors. They also want to see stuff they can run so dont take pics of donks to the editor of motor trnd no matter how bad ass they are
