I have a 92 ranger, and I desperately need shocks on it, i have a few ideas and im looking for any helpful info that anyone can provide for me. I work at an autozone, so i have access to every shock in stock, but for some reason we dont have a shock book. If anyone has pics of front shocks installed with  airride i would like pics. I need some shocks that have good travel cause i dont want to loose any lift in the front, and most shocks i have saw have a travel of around 4-5" and im pretty sure i have about 9" of lift in the front. I am thinking that i can use the lower stock shock stud on the radius arm and then build a mount for the top, which shouldnt be too bad.

For the rear, i need an idea for some shocks too, i think i get about 13" of lift, i havent ever really measured. But i would like to keep that amount of travel, cause it is necessary for some of the driveways i encounter. My truck has been a daily driver for the past couple of months and i need to smooth out my ride. let me know if you have any advice, on what shocks to use, and i cant afford shocks that are expensive, im a minitrucker, not a millionare... lol...

I had stock shocks on mine when it was just bagged. The fronts you should get about 8" out of a stock ranger shock and for the rear using stock shocks mounted at a angle I got 15" of lift out of the rear of the truck. Have the shocks mounted at a forward tilt. Best thing is I think the front shocks were like $20 a piece and the rear about the same.

stock front shocks, either stock rears or hardbodys on the rear.
