i have been looking for a toyota frame for my project courier. i was gonna use the front clip & rear end to get
better brakes, steering, and air ride parts availability. the frame i have found turned out to be wrong. i have found
a complete 93 s-10 frame at the same place. has anyone used the front clip from an s-10 in any ranger or courier
builds. it all sounds good!! there is more parts available, better brakes and five lug conversion. any info will help!!

You will find better wheel options if you go with the toyota stuff, as that will be 5x4.5 (ranger and toyota) The toyota clip will also be much easier to narrow or widen since its square and the engine crossmember unbolts. You can get control arms and spindles for toyotas as well, parts arent hard to find. From a visual perspective, the toyotas also look alot cleaner, and are much simpler (more square, easier to measure and work with) Suspension geometry on the toyota will also be better for adjustable suspension (ever notice how laid out s10s suck the wheels back into the firewall and toe out like crazy?) Motor mounting will also be easier on the toyota clip.  No tie rod notches needed.

I completely agree with illBlazer, however there is at least one guy I know of on this site that has done an s10 clip in his ranger.  Look through the profiles for it if you are interested in checking it out

^ That's a Ranger though. Courier's are pretty small (read narrow) if I recall. The Toyota track width is a little more narrow (not by much, like an inch), and easier to narrow more. Plus the S10 frames are just ugly. I'd clip an S10 if someone gave me the chance.

I know for sure there is at least one toy clip up here. Ben and I already took the rear out of the truck. But if you use a Ranger rear, you'll only have to narrow one side of it.
