This question might have already been asked but I searched and didn't find anything. But anyways.   I got a 94' Toyota,  static dropped 2/3 for now might do 3/4 later. I want to get some 18's for it but not sure what offset I need for them to tuck and not stick out of the fenders. It'll probably be an 18x8.5" wheel since thats the most popular size out there, I would like to get some with a nice deep lip  just don't want them to stick out of fenders.  This truck will not get bagged by the way, just static dropped,  I'm going old school with this one.  Also have another question that hopefully someone can help me with. I want to get a fiberglass topper for my truck but looking for a cheap one, anyone know where I can find one? also want to do a walk-through but not sure how it's done properly so it doesn't get water inside. Does someone know how to do a walk-through. pics would be nice. thanks.                 here a pic of the truck with the 2/3 drop it has now.

I run 17x8  4.5" backspace wheels on my static droped yota.  They rub the rear slightly when weighted down more then my drop and the fronts are fine with 4wd fenders they rubbed with 2wd fenders.

If you take the front wall out of the bed it will make where to cut the cab pretty self explanitory. I know that back in the day  people used to use acordian boot to seal the cab and bed together. You can get it most places that sell shells  although it my be a special order item. As far as finding a cheap shell I would say watch your local paper and online classifieds for a used one, you could try a want add as well. Keep an eye on your local pick-a-part as they turn up there sometimes too.

craigslist is a good place to look for a shell!!

What if I were to weld the gap between the cab and bed together would that be a problem  or is acordian boot the only way to seal it?  would welding it cause any problems?

well if you had a fiberglass shell then welding would be impossible and when you drive the truck the bed actually moves around so anything rigid would cause problems. I have always used accordian weather stripping and it has worked great. I actually have about 20ft of the stuff in my storage that I am going to use if I ever come across a topper I like. donny(smc prez) has one but he is in nc I think. Im sure he will chime in if he notices this post.
