Question to the suspension experts. I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra Double Cab SR5 2 wheel drive that is dropped with the Mcgaughys 4/6 drop thus far. DJM makes 3" lowering control arms that I want to use with this. Now another member on our Tundra forums tried these arms with just 2" drop coils and he could not get it aligned anywhere back to the specs. My question is that since my Mcgaughys drop kit has drop spindles which I am running, do you think I have a chance of it coming close to specs with the alignment. Just kinda want some input before I make a $400 investment on these arms, that I might not get back since I will have mounted these. DJM has no idea, but wants to know the results if I try this. Thanks in advance for any help!

Oh and BTW..I will eventually be bagging my Tundra. Just trying for a quick fix until I am ready to do that mod.

I don't think that you will have any better luck with alignment than your friend did. Typically you can't simply "stack" lowering components to get the drop that you want unless they were designed to work that way.

Got ya. I just figured that you have more adjustment with drop spindles to begin with right? Guess this will be one of those trial and errors things. Risking $387 to do this, but will be able to recoupe some of it, since I can sell the arms to another member on the forums that just wants a drop with using the stock coils.

Or course I keep asking myself why I am jus playing with it, when I just need to bag it!
