hey guys,
 
i'm trying to come up with ideas on how i'm going to mount the 12" rear cylinders on my bronco.  I want them completely under the floor and i'm keeping the back seat.  Full frame, stock floored (or will be ) on 24's  <--- the rear floor will be raised a few inches to clear the gas tank.

Have fun fitting a 12" cylinder under the floor. I ran 10" cylinders upside down on the tahoe. It had a tall bridge and the cylinder hung down. That's the only way the 10" cylinder would stay under the floor. You are better off running a shorter cylinder up on a trailing arm. Your only other option would be making wider tubs and running the cylinder inside the wheel tub.

something else remember i doubt that bronco has a 2 piece drive shaft buit if it does it want take long to rip the rubber out of the center carrier i have 12 on rear of cadillac it does it everyonce in awhile

i have 4 options in my mind: they will stick out of the floor   it's not the end of the world, with the top off at least it would add to the the effect right?build some crazy cantilever 6-link and the cylinders would stick through the floor a little, but it least it would be more towards the rear?? this spots reserved for more creative ideas, if their are any.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------something else remember i doubt that bronco has a 2 piece drive shaft buit if it does it want take long to rip the rubber out of the center carrier i have 12 on rear of cadillac it does it everyonce in awhile --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hadn't thought about that much, but it is a single piece driveline i like the way you hydroholics guys mount them upside down, but i think i would run into problems with the long cylinders right?  I've had a couple of setups in the past, and have always been intrigued by running a set of 12's

You could do a pivot point cantilever deal, kind of like what aaron is doing.  Basically, a horizontal cylinder attached to a pivoting triangular bracket which a vertical link pushes the truck up.  If you want to get really trick you can do some hydraulic rear torsions...I saw it done I think in 1995 and haven't seen it done since...

Derek is right, you could do a cantilevered pivot. Aaron is running the cylinder vertical and a coilover horizontal. However, you could also just run the cylinder horizontal with an accumulator and just a solid rod to connect to the axle, pivot in the middle.

I would mount the cylinder on a lower 4-link bar.  With a 6" cylinder mounted mid bar you'd get as much lift as a 12" cylinder mounted on the axle....so imagine the lift you'd get with an 8 or 10" cylinder.  Just make sure you driveshaft and brake lines can handle the lift.
