I have a set of SD I-beam bag mounts, and I not sure on how to install them because the angles between the frame mount and the I-beam mount seem to be too far off (from how I think the brackes should be mounted). It looks like I have to notch into the frame/engine crossmember to achieve the proper bag alignment. Is this because I am using the DJM dream beams instead of the stock ford I-beams? Any advice or pictures of these brackets installed would be greatly appreciated.

It is because that style of bracket sucks. Well in reality, I beams suck. But if you are using them DJM is what you want. Look at doing tubular mounts though. Only way to get the angles better. I sell a DIY kit with all the components to do a nice tubular setup including bent tube, cups, shock tabs lower mounts, and 2 styles of gussets so you can build a setup like this:

I would def recommend a tubular setup for the bags on an I beam over any of the plate setups. and if your going to run large diameter rims your more than likely going to have to go bag on radius arm and rebuild that for strength and replace the poly bushing with a super pivot or a heim
