Ok, I'm looking into bagging my truck and using a cantilever set up. My question is has anyone set their bags up at a 1.5:1 ratio. Reason I'm asking it that I've heard a straight on axle 1:1 setup can handle towing a good amount of weight but doesn't ride that great and a 2:1 ratio rides really good but cuts your towing ability nearly in half. I was thinking if I set it up at a 1.5:1 it would be the best of both worlds, especially with the right shocks.  Thanks,  Will

There isn't really a rule that says that you must run the bag at either a 1:1 or a 2:1, the placement depends on the actual needs of your vehicle. Because you want a good ride and to have decent carrying capacity a 1.5:1 is a great place to start.

Ok, thanks. I was planning to put the cantilevers in between my frame rails and have different mounting locations for the bags to experiment. Only reason I ask is that if I ever wanted to be able to tow a trailer in the future, I'd want it set up to do so. Again, thank you.

Let me know if you do it and how it works out.
